The German luxury car manufacturer Audi has finally launched their new sports utility vehicle the Q3 mini SUV at the Auto Expo 2012 in New Delhi.

TheGerman luxury car manufacturer Audi has finally launched  their new sports utility vehicle  the Q3mini SUV at the Auto Expo 2012 in New Delhi.   Thelaunching was at the 5^th year of the entry in India.  It was launched by  Katrina Kaif on 5th January, 2012 (Media Day).Audi Q3 will compete with the likes of BMW X1 and will be available in bothpetrol and diesel.The vehicle is having a classic design.   Itwill also have option of 2-wheel drive system. The base variant of Audi Q3 isexpected to be priced around twenty five lakh rupees. In terms of looks andstyling it has typical Audi styling featuring huge front grille, LEDs inheadlamps and tail lights. It looks much better and proportionate in comparisonto BMW X1 and other SUVs in this segment. Audi India has notmade any official announcement about the price and variants of Q3 but it isexpected that it will be priced in the region of 25-28 lakh rupees and will beavailable in 4-5 variants.

Engine Options - Audi Q3

- 2.0 TFSi petrol engine
- 2.0 TDi diesel engine

Audi Q3 will be available in both petrol diesel.The petrol model will be powered by a 2.0 litre TFSi engine which is expectedto generate maximum power of 170 bhp. The diesel model will be powered by a 2.0litre TDi engine which is expected to generate maximum power of 177 bhp.

It is expected that Audi Q3 will be available infour variants: 2.0 TFSi 4x2, 2.0 TFSi 4x4, 2.0 TDi 4x2 and 2.0TDi 4x4.

The  expected price of the  base model of Audi Q3 will be  around twenty five lakh rupees. In the year2011 Audi India sold 5511cars in India.  That is the increase in sales to 80% withrespect to last year sales.  Thesales  alone in December 2011 was 294cars.  The company has opened show roomsin Delhi, Ludiana, Surat,Indoor, Further expansions is also planned in Delhi,Lucknow, Coimbatoreand  Mumbai.   AudiKochi is the  authorized dealer in Kochi  which is located in Vyttila �Aroor Bye pass.
