Renault Duster.

Renault has  nowofficially announced that they will bring two of their cars to the IndianMarket. One among the SUVs would be the Renault Duster. Iit may be one of thecheapest SUV in the world. The price of this car is said to be between 6.5 lakhto 7 lakh.. The Duster is available in two models  with two-wheel or four-wheel drive. The 4x4variants make use of Nissan's all-wheel drive system which allows the driver tochoose from three different driving modes: Auto, in which the front/rear torquesplit is calculated automatically as a function of available grip, Lock,whereby 50 per cent of torque is consistently fed through the rear axle, and4x2 where the transmission is locked into two-wheel drive for maximum fuelefficiency.

The Duster is  available in the 1.6 petrol or the 1.5 diesel.The 1.6 L petrol version is said to churn out 105 bhp while the 1.5 L is tunedto produce either 85 or 110 bhp. The Duster is long and wide as well and is abit smaller than the Mahindra Scorpio. The seating  capacity of the car is five adults.

The Duster may  face competition from all most all the  SUV�s in India.

Renault Duster's occupants willappreciate the high standard of travelling comfort it provides, whatever thetype of road or terrain, thanks to its high ride-height (205mm in 4x2 versionand 210mm in 4x4 version) and specific work on its suspension (damper travel,springs and calibration). The German luxury car manufacturer Audi has finally launched their new sports utility vehicle the Q3 mini SUV at the Auto Expo 2012 in New Delhi.

TheGerman luxury car manufacturer Audi has finally launched  their new sports utility vehicle  the Q3mini SUV at the Auto Expo 2012 in New Delhi.   Thelaunching was at the 5^th year of the entry in India.  It was launched by  Katrina Kaif on 5th January, 2012 (Media Day).Audi Q3 will compete with the likes of BMW X1 and will be available in bothpetrol and diesel.The vehicle is having a classic design.   Itwill also have option of 2-wheel drive system. Renault Pulse Introduced in India- Pulse the new car from Renault in India.

The French automobilemanufacturer, Renault has  announced therate of the neew model Pulse at the Delhi Auto Expo 2012. The base model a pricetag of Rs. 5.77 Lacs, ex-showroom Delhi.Pulse is the third model launched by the company in the Indian automobilemarket. Renault Pulse was unveiled for the first time in India inOctober 2011.  

Renault Pulse wasdesigned in a Mumbai design studio. The model is equipped with the Renault K9Kdiesel engine assisted by a 5-speed transmission which can  delivers peak power of 61 hp and maximumtorque of 160 Nm. Renault Pulse is the first hatchback model  from the company.

Dazzling cars at Auto Expo  The Mercedes A Classe concept with grating behind the black grille like a starry sky was certainly one of the best to look at even if the specifications are not yet known. BMW also showcased a truly amazing �Vision� concept that is a diesel-electric hybrid convertible capable of amazing performance.

It is powered by a small diesel engine and electric motors that can generate a huge 323 HP to offer super car performance in an eco friendly way. Not to be outdone Jaguar showcased a truly astonishing C-X75 sports coupe.

The Auto Expo 2012 shows that the Indian car Market is moving- Indian cars are racing ahead.

The AutoExpo 2012 was a great success. Itreally showed how much all the global players want to be here and of how Indiancompanies have matured to be able to compete in global markets.

Maruti, the Indian industryleader, added a new seven-seater Ertiga MUV and a futuristic-looking baby SUVcalled XAalpha built around a Swift platform. These and their other displaysshowed that they want to cover every segment of the expanding Indian automarket.

Mahindra& Mahindra also showed that they want to offer products for every mobilitysegment from small and large two-wheelers, electric vehicles, three-wheelers,SUVs (including their very successful XUV500), trucks and buses including heavyearth-moving models. Though the Verito, derived from the Renault Logan, waspresent we can expect a classy range of cars before too long.

Bajaj showed that they are ready to launch a four-wheel passengervehicle. Their new 200 cc ultra-low-cost vehicle was claimed to be targeted atoffering a safer and more comfortable 4-seater upgrade of their range ofautorickshaws. It was, however, evident that it would also be suitable as alow-cost personal transport vehicle.

Tata Motors, who are the king ofIndian commercial vehicles, had an array of new offerings. Among passengervehicles they showed an LPG- fuelled Nano and a very cute small Pixel that willoffer upward swinging �scissor� doors, a small diesel engine and an infinitelyvariable gearless transmission. There were also upgrades in style and featuresfor the Safari, Vista, Aria and other models.

Hyundai extended their verysuccessful �fluidic� design concept to their bigger saloons like the Elantraand Sonata that now look very appealing. The same styling theme was extended toa new small SUV, the HexaSpace, that has the most interesting interiors withindividual seats that can fold flat.

Toyota added new styling tothe Fortuner SUV plus an automatic gearbox. Volkswagen displayed a new TauregSUV with an eight-speed automatic.

Chevrolet introduced a 1400 ccSail that will probably replace their Aveo and Ford showcased a brilliantEcoSport mini-SUV that not only looks great but offers an amazing new engine.The small 1000 cc engine will belt out a huge 120 HP with 17 KGM torquecomparable to a good 1600 cc engine.

Renault launched their 1500 ccdiesel Pulse hatchback and showed the Duster small SUV that will soon be here.Their French rival Peugeot also showed that they mean business as soon as theirGujarat plant becomes operational.

Nissan showed that it wasadding a small seven-seat MPV called Evalia to its expanding range. Thehundreds of displays were as boggling to the mind and the noisy crowds werenumbing to the senses but it showed that the Indian auto market is going places.

Tata to roll out Nano CNG

Auto major Tata Motors today said it plans to enter new globalmarkets such as Thailand, Myanmar, Indonesiaand Bangladeshwith the 'Nano' within a year, as well as launch a CNG version of the small carin the domestic market. The company also said it plans to invest Rs 3,000 croreon capacity expansion and various product development activities next fiscal.

"Nano CNG is clearly on the cards. We plan to launch it verysoon. Hopefully, we should be rolling it out this year," Tata Motors'Managing Director P M Telang told reporters on the sidelines of the Auto Expo2012 here. The company also said it is working on a different version of theNano for launch in the European market. "We might look for an appropriatecar for the European market. The current Nano, as it is introduced in the India,would probably have different emission and safety specifications from...that of theEuropean market. So it has to be a substantially different car," he added.

On expanding the market for Nano, the company said itis also looking beyond Sri Lankaand Nepal."Entering into markets like Bangladesh,Myanmar and other South-EastAsian countries like Thailandand Indonesiaare on the cards. This is the blueprint for a year," Telang added. He saidThailandcould be the first new market where the company would launch the Nano.   Asked if the company would considerassembling the Nano in Thailand,where Tata Motors has an assembly plant, he said: "We can't comment, but Iam also not ruling it out." He declined to comment on the plans forassembling the Nano in Latin America. On thecompany's plans for neighbouring Myanmar,Telang said: "We have set up assembly plant in Myanmar. Our commercial vehiclesare appreciated. As we go ahead, we are looking at the possibility of...launchingbus and small commercial vehicles there.

1.2 litre three-cylinder turbocharged dieselengine, positioned at the rear of the Tata Pixel, gives lively performance. Keyfunctions in Tata Pixel are controlled by the driver�s smart phone, running on�My Tata Connect� -- the first integrated human-machine interface (HMI) conceptfrom Tata Motors.

Maruti has unveiled Ertiga MPV at the Delhi Auto Expo,

Maruti has unveiled Ertiga MPV at the Delhi Auto Expo, marking the carmaker�s entry in the Utility Vehicle segment.The engine is powered with  next generation K-series 1.4litre V V T engine, Ertiga l offers a mileage of 16.02 kmpl. The Ertiga will be  available in diesel variant as well, powered by the 1.3 DDiS engine inherited from SX4. It will give a mileage of 20.77 kmpl.  The Ertiga is built on an extended Swift platform and it is said to be launched by the end of the first quarter and will  compete with the famous  and widely accepted  Innova and Xylo both in size and price.

This seven seater MPV with three rows of seats will have an option of 2, 3/4, 5 and seven seats. It will have a twin air-conditioner unit. In terms of safety the Ertiga gets dual airbags and ABS.
